How to Activate BNB Deduction on Binance

Many traders leave money on the table simply by not enabling BNB deduction. It takes under a minute to set up and the savings compound with every trade you make.

Step 1: Ensure You Have BNB in Your Spot Wallet

Before enabling the toggle, make sure your Spot Wallet holds a small balance of BNB. Even a few dollars worth is enough to get started — the system calculates and deducts the exact BNB amount needed for each trade's discounted fee automatically. You can buy BNB on Binance's spot market or transfer it from another wallet.

Step 2: Enable the BNB Deduction Toggle

On Binance web: click your profile avatar in the top right, go to Dashboard, scroll to the Fee section and enable "Use BNB to Pay Fees." On the Binance app: tap your avatar (top left), select Account Center, then Settings, and find "BNB Discount" to switch it on.

Verify It Is Working

After enabling the toggle, place a test trade. In your trade history, you will see the fee was charged in BNB rather than the quote asset, and the amount will reflect the 25% reduction. For example, a trade that would normally cost 0.1 USDT in fees will show approximately 0.075 USDT equivalent in BNB.

What If My BNB Balance Runs Out?

If your BNB balance falls below what is needed to cover the discounted fee, Binance automatically switches to charging the standard 100% fee in the quote currency for that trade. To avoid interruptions, maintain a small BNB reserve in your Spot Wallet at all times.

Does BNB Deduction Apply to Futures?

Yes — for USDT-M and ETH/BTC futures, you can get an extra 10% off futures trading fees when paying with BNB. Navigate to the Futures fee settings page and enable the BNB deduction option there separately, as it is a different setting from the Spot/Margin toggle.
