While the BNB fee discount for spot trading is well known, many traders are unaware that Binance also offers a BNB-based fee reduction for certain futures contracts. Here is everything you need to know.
Which Futures Support BNB Fee Discounts?
Binance currently applies the BNB fee discount to USDT-Margined (USDT-M) futures and ETH/BTC-Margined futures. COIN-M futures do not currently support BNB fee payment discounts. Always check the official Binance Fees page for the most current list, as this may change.
How Much Is the Futures BNB Discount?
Unlike the 25% reduction available for spot and margin trades, the futures BNB discount is 10%. For standard futures users paying 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker fees, enabling BNB deduction brings those down to 0.018% and 0.045% respectively. Over high trading volumes, this adds up quickly.
How to Enable It for Futures
The futures BNB deduction is a separate setting from the spot/margin toggle. Go to your Binance Futures account, click on your profile or settings, and look for the Fee Discount or BNB Deduction option in the futures section. Enable the toggle and ensure you have BNB in your futures sub-account or main spot wallet that can be accessed for fee payment.
Margin Interest BNB Discount
Beyond trading fees, Binance also applies a 5% discount to margin interest rates when you use BNB to pay interest. If you are an active margin trader borrowing assets, enabling this setting can meaningfully reduce your financing costs over time.
Key Considerations for Futures Traders
Because futures positions can involve large notional values, even a 10% fee reduction translates to significant dollar savings at scale. A trader with $500,000 in daily futures volume at the standard 0.05% taker fee pays $250 per day — with the BNB discount, that falls to $225, saving $25 daily or roughly $9,000 per year.
